    Playtest Guide

Race to the treasure, survive the sea, and bring the haul back to your own port before anyone else.

    How To Win

    • Find the treasure, pick it up, and return it to your own port.
    • If you pick up the treasure while already on your port, you win immediately.

    Your Turn

    • You spend crew to take actions. Costs are shown on the action buttons.
    • You can mix actions during your turn until you run out of meaningful plays or choose End Turn.
    • If you have no legal meaningful actions, the game skips your turn automatically.
    • Carrying treasure slows you down: you can only sail twice per turn.

    Sea Tiles

    • Hidden sea: most of the map begins face down. Sailing onto a hidden tile reveals it.
    • Reef: every time you enter a reef, you lose 1 hull.
    • Storm: entering a storm ends your turn immediately. If you start your turn in storm, you may only Sail or End Turn, and sailing out also ends your turn.
    • Fog: fog does not stop movement, but it blocks cannon fire into or out of that tile.
    • Ports: each player starts on their own port. Returning there with treasure wins the game.

    Combat And Risk

    • Cannon: fires at an enemy exactly 2 tiles away. It deals 1 hull damage.
    • Sabotage: works only against an adjacent enemy. Different sabotage types damage hull, cut next-turn crew, or force a treasure drop.
    • If a ship’s hull reaches 0, it sinks, respawns at its port with full hull, and drops the treasure if it was carrying it.

    Treasure And Kraken

    • You can pick up treasure when you are on its tile and can pay the pickup cost.
    • You may drop treasure voluntarily, or be forced to drop it by sabotage or sinking.
    • If dropped treasure stays unclaimed until the player who dropped it starts their next turn, the Kraken returns it to Treasure Island.
